Carissa D. Harwell

Carissa Harwell joined Growe Eisen Karlen Eilerts in 2023 and is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. Before joining GEKE, Carissa gained litigation experience at BiState Law Center. Carissa has extensive experience in civil litigation, focusing on the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation. Carissa has a bachelor’s degree in social work and has maintained her passion in advocating for clients’ rights and disrupting any systems in place that may harm her clients. While in law school, she volunteered at the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation and the Jackson County Public Defender’s office. After law school, she worked at a nonprofit agency representing survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence in family court.
